South Austin Church is a community built on Christ's perfect love for our church, our community, and our world.

As you consider visiting South Austin Church, you may have some questions. We have tried to answer some of these:

What time are services?

Are there parking places reserved for first time guests?
Visitor parking spaces are located in the main parking lot on the north side of the church.

Are your buildings handicap accessible?
Handicap parking and access is available at the main church entrance on the north side of the church. Assistance is available upon request.

What happens when I come into the church?
If you are visiting on Sunday morning, please use the main entrance near the north parking lot. Greeters can provide you with information and directions. Be sure to stop by the Information Table in the foyer for brochures about our upcoming events. Greeters will be at the sanctuary entrances to answer your questions.

What small groups, Bible study, or Sunday School classes are offered?
South Austin Church has groups meeting throughout the week. We encourage you to visit our Sunday School classes at 9:00 AM, as well as our Monday night Young Adult Group or Wednesday night Bible studies at 7:00 PM, in order to get to know other people like you. Our church staff will be happy to direct you to a class and introduce you to others within the group.

What childcare is offered?
Our nursery is available for babies and toddlers, ages birth to 3 years, and is accessed from the sanctuary foyer.

What do I do before the service starts?
Sunday services take place in the Sanctuary (in English) and the Centro de Adoración (in Spanish). There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. As you enter the worship service, you will receive a copy of the bulletin, which gives you information on the activities at South Austin Church.

What is the worship like?
Services last about 75 minutes. The worship services are passionate and modern, with inspirational and heart changing music followed by an easy-to-apply message from the Word of God. Services often include video, drama, and dance, as well as many other forms of the arts.

How are guests greeted?
As you arrive, our greeters and other members may recognize you as a guest and extend a friendly greeting. As a visitor, you will not be asked to stand. However, we would like to know you were our guest and ask that you fill out the Guest Card in your bulletin, which can be torn out and placed in the offering plate.

How will I know when to stand?
The pastor or the worship leader will ask the congregation to stand or sit. We generally stand during congregational songs, which are displayed on a large screen, and during the scripture reading. You are welcome to sit or stand at any time you wish.

What is the preaching like?
Our pastor preaches a message based on the Bible, often accompanied by a slideshow.

Do you give invitations at the end of the service?
Sometimes at the end of the sermon, the pastor will ask if anyone seeking spiritual help would like to come forward to pray at the altar. Someone may come to pray with you, and will be available to offer any guidance or help you may desire. You are welcome to pray at the altar at any time during the service.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?
South Austin Church encourages biblical tithing for regular attendees and members. However, our guests are not expected to give anything.
